For whoever needs to hear this today: It’s okay to invest in tried and true ideas.
Not everything has to be a shiny innovative solution.
A chosen idea should be something that makes sense within the context you’re working in, has support from collaborators and folks most impacted by the work, and helps create the impact collaborators have identified as a priority.
If that means pushing go on an exciting new idea, wonderful. If that means moving forward with a tried and true concept or a variation of something that already exists, fantastic.
Either way, don’t go with “innovative” just for innovation’s sake.
